Literature Text
And you were twisted with the potential of a goldmine
You were ink black and addled and you had your
fingerprints stained into tiffany vases and prodigality
And I forged all my sympathies, signed strictly apathetic
While you were in the guise of composites and bleached knuckles
Aphorisms never meant as much to paradigms or gritted teeth
but I digress; I crafted men out of plate tectonics
Ninety degrees from your contempt and
At the rinds you will find plaster and
thirty molecules of carbon and
Don't you ever want to be the one to split the world in two?
You reassure me that your only certainties are relevance and Catch-22s and
You bled sulfur through your fingertips and your laughter was like
mile-long shadows and nonexistence.

with the curtains drawn.
When I stretch, I hear my bones crack
spluttering
staggering
stunted trees hobbling through a gale,
their knotted roots
gnarled, arthritic branches
horror stories trickle
in through the door.

On Vulnerability
I want to steal
the bark off trees,
and cover my
own skin,
for then
and only then,
can I protect
what lies
within.
Literature
turmoil
when my phone dies
and i unplug my headphones
it leaves me naked
vulnerable
i hear the traffic blur
as cars honk loudly
i freeze
people pass by
in a hurry
always in a hurry
spreading construction sites like
a virus
giving birth to higher buildings
industrial noises rise
metallic grinding
and flying, bright sparks
a futuristic ringing in my ear
when i take my headphones out
i hear the world cry
i feel the pain of
our society

I enjoyed reading through this piece thoroughly as well.
It differs (in my mind) from solipsism in the way that it reads more like spoken word poetry rather than lyrics.
Anyhow, though I enjoyed the poem, would you be able to explain the line about "tiffany vases" to me?
I've not actually heard of those before and so I've missed the metaphor.
